    so it's starting to look pretty good I think our velocity from ocean

    physics air resistance
    so we turn that up a little bit what's gonna happen is
    the effects are gonna be slowed so right here you can see that the particles he

    manner and I just created this animation as an example piece of some of the
    things you can do with it but you can really do a lot of things with it so

    the plugin now they're still basically an undercover exactly everything but
    what we'll do is we'll we'll create the animation of the sheets art of folding
    up like like somebody's picking it up from the middle and then sort of blow
    away to the left and then we're also gonna make it wrinkle up so let's cover
    up how you would do the wrinkling up so now that I showed you how to an end in
    actually the reason and want two rows into columns is because this will make
    it easier to do this sort of picking up things so if I now grab this point see
    by not having so many points and then there's another editing controls you can
    have tangent alignment in what that means is the sort of like candles
    state-linked see or if I turn this off and they're broken so I can actually
    control it so in the case of what I wanna do actually break it so that you
    know certain pulls up more like a tent but
    and then I can actually grab the back . p.m. by actually moving the point in the
    correct order you can actually grab them all sort of on their own and again move
    the handles so that you can see doing so but one important thing I tried to do is
    you always want to set a key frame for when it's normal when it's flat in this
    case it doesn't start lab if you wanted to start for that you really want to
    keep him flat because getting back to flat might be difficult and you do that

    jagged edge there's a setting for the amount of anti-aliasing which is set to
    None know you can go from low to high that even the low setting seems to work
    pretty well that just got rather doug is right there and then there's image
    filtering assuming helps filter out this surface texture but I can't really tell
    the difference here and then the last thing which are these are these very
    very optional steps there's no built-in motion blur depth of field to this
    plugin so what I do is I use to really awesome plugins that I use and so many
    jobs one is revision affects real smart motion blur and the other one is fresh
    left lens care both of them have built-in equivalent the equivalent for
    real smart real smart motion blur is force motion blur SEC force muslims so
    let's go ahead and show you how I apply those precum this whole thing and I'm
    gonna call this setup I guess
    so I'm gonna apply now it's actually almost always better to
    render this
    as a fact not go ahead and pre-rendered this in then come back okay we're back
    so as you can see this render took five minutes and
    seconds at best settings
    with multi-process processing turned on this is a Mac Pro with a bunch of RAM so
    it went pretty fast one thing to note is really really improve the
    multiprocessing in
    this is yet read the latest
    point to which I highly
    recommend everybody upgrades if they have cs
    scripts from crashing on Mac which they never read the crash number cause any
    harm but it was kind of annoying that every time he quit it said that after
    effects unexpectedly quit so they've totally fix that so if you use any
    scripts like my background and definitely upgrade to
    alright so ok
    so I'm gonna bring in the rendered competence it as a proxy for income site
    for the setup comp the reason I do that is because this way I don't lose my live
    comp in here but you can see now it actually when they move it actually uses
    the rendered file but if I had any time I want to see the real thing I just
    horrendous but enough and then as you can see it states rendering frame which
    takes a lot longer so using proxies is a really great way of being on the
    workflow Anthony proxy but I'm surprised most surprising how many people don't
    know about him and there's one other thing I forgot to mention before we go
    into the last steps in this and also see if I go into this competition proxy
    enabled so I can just turn off if you go to one of the things that I actually
    turned up the specular highlights so it almost looks like this is like metallic
    you know like almost like
    very reflective soaker something you do that by going to the plugin and then in
    the look and let the mesh quality at thirty that's why I find it so fast but
    anyway it looks pretty good for now if you got a surface controls you turn up
    the specular just a 3d program it discusses my specular so it actually
    looks more more reflective especially when you're going into the really Creek
    lease parts here see how it looks more reflective even there's not really
    reflective but by being much shinier it just like I said has sort of silky silky
    bad actually pretty good at fifty
    but you can also lower you know play with
    these controls to play with different looks alright so back to the main comp
    so I'm gonna turn on the proxy right so even though what proxy is a pre cum so I
    can apply it
    plugin system to this comp in it will actually work so real smart motion blur
    this is really easy to use you just about putting in automatically
    calculates motion blur the built in one is called force motion blur and notice
    the difference is a bit plugin real slow motion blur is actually
    bit plugin
    which is very handy as you can see here and basically does is really nice
    automatic job of motion blurring lair so when it's pulling away
    specially freshly here and the edges you know it really does a good job sometimes
    you get a little artifact like this you can actually there is a provision that
    actually allows you to draw mask so that you don't get this problem but in this
    case I don't really care because it
    when they move so fast it happens in this movie and move so fast that even
    though there are two factors there you don't you don't notice it was moving so
    fast but this is really nice about this and then the other plug in and turn a
    softer now as I wanted to add some depth of field so what I'm gonna do is use
    fresh left lens care so I'm actually pretty left out of focus the field lines
    carry the name of the package above this plugin is coming so that the field works
    with a what's called a double layer sometimes called the buffer or that pass
    and obviously this was not created a 3d program so what we gonna do you gonna
    take our own depth later and that's simply by driving a solid with a ramp
    and essentially where it's where it's black it's going to be more blurred then
    where it's white so at the beginning I wanted to be blurred sort of out here
    but not here so if I actually over later
    and basically comes out of focus we can actually a little bit so he from both of
    these things so I comes in I can move this out so that the leading edges and
    focus keep coming and then
    probably was goin focus as it's just coming in this is the focus line you
    probably want to take this out as well say feels more natural and then once its
    here we want to be totally where we can actually leave see how here is a little
    bit of a little over dramatic action there and then when it starts pulling
    away so we'll just move it move it that actually this is out of focus up here so
    basically and this will be a quick exchange rate so I probably want to do
    this right as it's going up there so that'll be brilliant focus and then
    and then technically I mean you probably would have put it on two separate layers
    we're doing this so quickly and then I'm gonna do to me that the blur to be out
    at this point to go about their rights another dub animated the map the way I
    wanted let's bring your pasady bucket to a hundred and when I actually need to do
    spree compass because we're gonna call it and I'm gonna move the attributes
    because we want to move the what we just did with a plugin know we can turn it
    off now we can select it isn't that past year we've got the beginning and turn up
    the radius of the blur radius you can see military up quite a bit you can see
    now how exactly how we do our past it gets work blurred there but not here as
    it comes along that that sort of that animates off like we did here and then
    when it starts going away see how this goes out of focus but the station focus

    we're gonna do is here when it goes away at this point I want to be a zero-sum

    that the field is called lens blur blur I noticed this
    debt and the field is

    bit that the field
    but added that landlords the same way someone go ahead
    and select the depth map layer depth and I think length works inverted so this is
    what sort of focus she just enjoyed it so that the back of focus but same
    result I i believe that the faster and it it's been around longer than a month
    or so I just got used to using that to feel that I also like the fact that I
    work in
    bit a lot so you how you can get equally nice results with the
    built-in lens wear so what does plugins I really optional steps

    to turn on the motion blur and we're gonna change the order so that the field

    ok slow at two hundred and fifty subdivisions the rendered took nine
    minutes
    seconds about twice as long which is not bad considering that we
    went from

    go back to the main kaun so now you can see the better higher resolution version
