TEDDY BEAR CAKE by Ann Reardon How To Cook That Teddy Birthday Cake - YouTube !!!
English English Add subtitles/CC
Welcome to How To Cook That I am Ann Reardon today we are making a
a cute little cupcake.
And we also have a giveaway today so keep watching for details of what you can win and
how you can enter.
First thing we need to make is the cake for that you will need cocoa powder, sugar, flour,
eggs, milk, vanilla, baking powder and salt, vegetable oil, hot coffee and dark chocolate.
Pour the coffee over the chocolate and leave it to melt.
Then sift together all the dry ingredients and I'll put all the recipe quantities on
the howtocookthat.net website in grams and ounces and cups for you and I'll link to that
below. So you should have the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder and salt all
be in there and this just gets rid of any lumps and aerates it a bit as well.
Beat the eggs until they are fluffy, and again this adds more air to the cake.
Whisk together the coffee and chocolate mixture so it is smooth. And then pour in the oil
and the milk. Then add in the vanilla then fold in the beaten eggs. This cake recipe
uses a lot less eggs than I usually have in my favourite chocolate cake recipe. But lots
of people asking is there one that has a bit less eggs and a bit less chocolate so this
is the one you can use. Fold in your flour mixture. I'll put recipe for both recipes
on my website. And you can bake both decide which ones you like the best.
To bake it you'll need some heat proof bowls I am using two small pyrex bowls for the head
and two medium ones for the body. Put 2 cups of mixture into each of the small ones and
three cups of cake batter into the large ones.
Bake the remaining batter in two round cake tins. And if you want him to hold a cupcake
put some in a mini cupcake case too.
Then bake those in the oven until they are cooked through.
To make the frosting you need cream and white chocolate. Heat up the cream in the microwave
and then pour it over the chocolate to melt it. Stir it until it is smooth and then you
want to leave it in the fridge for a few hours or on the counter overnight to firm up.
Whip up a batch of vanilla butter cream and again the recipe for this is one the website
it is just butter and icing sugar and a bit of vanilla. Then add the ganache which is
now nice and thick and mix it through. Add ing the ganache just gives a really creamy
yummy frosting.
Level off the top of your cooled cakes. For the body part we need to make it a bit taller.
So cut a circle of cake out of one of the round cakes. And then make sure it is the
same size as the top of your body cake. And then keep the off-cut bit we are going to
use that to for his legs, we just need to cut it in half right in the middle there so
you've got two legs.
Put the base of the body at the back of the cake board then add more frosting, then that
middle piece of cake that we cut out the circle and the top.Now at this level you will need
to add in support. Put one large one right down the centre then three shorter ones around
it and add a small round cardboard disc on top. Then add the bottom of the head. Then
the top of his head. The supports just stop the weight of his head squashing down the
body so that it keeps its shape. Use scissors to trim off that support to the
right level.
Flatten out the front of his head towards the nose a bit. ANd then do the same on each
side where his shoulders are to allow room for the arms. Then flatten the front of his
chest just a little bit there this just exentuates his big sort of chubby tummy there in the
middle.
Add the legs to the base. Trim off the skinny that is wrapping around the back. flatten
off the front .... then curve it in where it joins the body... and take off the extra
curve that is sticking out into the middle there. And then repeat that on the other leg
so you get two little legs. If you're not confident in cutting I'll put a template on
the howtocookthat.net website to help you with sizes and you can just cut around that
instead. For his feet take the other round cake and
cut off those two sides so you are left with a strip in the middle. Cut the middle strip
in half and then round each one so you end up with like an oval foot shape. Add that
to the base and trim the cake to make it sit on the angle you want it to.
If you are a regular how to cook that watcher. Then you'll know I like to melt some of the
icing and pour it over the top for the crumb coat. For
crumbly this is the easiest way to give them a coat all over. And see how it is catching
all of those crumbs so our next coat of icing is nice and clean. Once it is covered place
it in the fridge to go firm. and we will do our arms now for that I am a making them out
of cake but I suggest you actually make them out of rice crispy like I did with the hulk
fist on the avengers cake. Just make a sausage shape and to the side of the body. Then add
a couple of cake pop sticks in for support.
Trim the arms to make room for where that little cupcakes going to go. And then cover
them in frosting too. Trim two round biscuits so they are pointy on one side and poke them
into the head for his ears.
Roll out some grey fondant so we can make his patches. Just cut a strip, then some squares
we probably only need about 2 or 3. Then cut out a circle for the bottom of his feet Just
trim the sides and round the corners to make a tall oval shape.
Cut two smaller circles for the ears and trim them to make them flat at the base. I'll put
all these pieces on the template too so you know the sizes.
Add them onto his feet ... his head... his cheek .. and his ears
Add the colour that you want the bear into me to the frosting, my bear is going to be
grey so i am just adding in some black. You can add this colour before you apply the crumb
coat, and it is probably a good idea. I just kept it plain so it is easier for you to see
what I am doing.
Spread some of that grey frosting in the centre of his head and smooth it out. And do the
same on the top of his chest there. Add a tiny snake of black fondant for the seam and
then add some little stitches across the top so it looks like he has been repaired.
Then place the rest of the frosting in a piping bag fitted with a grass tip and pipe on the
fur. Just pipe and pull outwards. Just be still sort of pushing on the piping bag as
you pull so you get some longer fur there. Now teddy fur tends to be a bit messy so pull
in all different directions.
Lots of people asked me how many times do you make a cake before you film it so that
you get it right? The answer to that is I only make cakes once. You request it, I make
it for you and film it as I go. So you are watching me make this cake and all the cakes
I make for the first time ever. To make his nose roll a ball of light grey and flatten
it out and then use your hands to shape it into more of a rounded triangle shape. Then
do the same with a little bit of pale blue. And add that to the top.
Use a knife to make a line down from the bottom of the blue nose there right down to the base.
Now to support this you are going to need to add two pieces of spaghetti pointing upwards
or you could use cake pop sticks here if you prefer. And then just add the nose into place.
He looks so much cuter with his nose. Then roll two tiny balls of black and add
them into place for his eyes. Then add a tiny tiny dot of white onto each.
On the foot use a skewer to poke a hole and push in a tiny snake of black. Lots of tiny
things on this bear. And then push the other end into the fur and repeat that stitching
all the way around.
Now if you want him to hold something it will need support so addd some spaghetti here or
some cake pop sticks and carefully place the item on top.
He is pretty cute like that but if you want you can also add a ribbon around his neck,
you could make this out of fondant or just use a real one like I did.
Now for the competition world kitchen is giving away
I used to make this cake including the pyrex bowls I baked the teddy bear in, knives for
carving , jugs for measuring. I'll put a link below to where you enter - and yes you can
enter from anywhere in the world. Subscribe to how to cook that for more cakes

Giant Gummy Bear kitkat and m&m cake HOW TO COOK THAT Ann Reardon - YouTube !!!
English - Giant Gummy Bear kitkat and m&m cake English - Giant Gummy Bear kitkat and m&m cake Add subtitles/CC
Welcome to How To Cook That I am Ann Reardon
Today we are making a giant gummy bear swimming pool cake with jelly belly very cherry frosting.
And some home made lolly pop splashes coming out of the top of the pool.
Firstly you'll need to bake two round chocolate cakes and make one quantity of chocolate buttercream.
I'll put a link in the description below to howtocookthat.net and there you'll find all
of the cake and frosting recipes and recipe quantities and amounts of everything that
you need to make this cake. I am using my rich chocolate cake recipe.
And once you've made it and let it cool use a cake leveler or a knife to cut each one
into two even layers.
Now to make the jelly belly very cherry frosting. To do you are going to need
I got these and the giant gummy bear from vat
channel that didn't know existed before and it's great fun. Me and my boys ended up watching
many of their videos and writing a big wish list and we had their catchphrase end of video
vat19.com song stuck in our heads for days. ANyway you should go check it out it's really
cool.
Turn that on to boil, we want to concentrate the flavour and the sugar. To do that it will
need to boil for about
minutes. All pans and stove tops are different so don't just
time it you'll need to add a candy thermometer to your pan and let the water evaporate off
it's ready when it reaches
While you're waiting check out vat
and then make some simple syrup. To do that mix
together half a cup of sugar and half a cup of water and stir until it is dissolved and
boiling. Then remove it from the heat and let it cool down.
Check your candy thermometer when it is getting to around
Place four egg whites into the bowl of an electric mixer and mix them until they have
soft peaks.
Once the jelly belly soda is at 238F or 114C take it off the heat, turn the mixers on again
and pour the hot sugar syrup into the bowl in a thin stream. Keep the mixers running,
if you feel the side of that bowl it will be hot, you want to keep whipping it until
it has cooled down. And is thick.
To assemble, place a small amount of chocolate buttercream on the base, add a layer of cake
then pipe a circle of buttercream around the edge.
Using a pastry brush dab on some of your cooled simple syrup, this helps make the cake really
moist. Then add some of your very cherry frosting and spread it out. Having the buttercream
on the sides like I have got here. That helps stop the inside frosting from spilling out
the edges of the cake which makes it easier when you are trying to cover the whole cake
in frosting. Repeat that with two more layers of cake then cover the whole thing in buttercream.
Get the edges as straight up and down as you can so that when you add the kitkats they
have a flat surface to stick to.
Then add those kit kats all the way around the outside edge of the cake. Secure in place
with a ribbon. I actually added the ribbon later, but it will be easier if you add it
here.
To the left over frosting add some blue colouring and mix that in really well. Then add that
onto the top of the cake. If you are making this cake the day before the party then stop
there and do the rest of this recipe on the day of the party.
Now to unwrap the giant gummy bear, this thing weighs
a premie baby. And just like a newborn it can't sit itself up. So we are going to need
to support it with cake spikes
Take three wooden cake spikes and spike them into the base of the bear in a triangular
shape so it will stand itself . Then place it into the top of the cake. Then add your
blue m&m's around the base of the bear.
To make our blue lollipop splashes. Heat the sugar and water in a saucepan and stir until
it is dissolved. Once its dissolved wash down the sides of the pan using a wet pastry brush
and let it boil unstirred until you see one area start to turn golden. When you see that
remove it from the heat immediately. Stir in some blue food colour and then spoon onto
some non-stick baking paper. Once you have made a nice splash shape add
a lolli pop stick to the lower side of the splash.
Once they are cooled completely they will set hard and then you can just add them into
your cake to make it look like the bear is jumping into the water to make it look like
the bear is jumping into the water and making a big splash everywhere.
And there you have it a very cherry giant gummy bear swimming pool cake.

How to Make Panda Cake Pops - A Cupcake Addiction How To Tutorial - YouTube !!!
English (United Kingdom) English (United Kingdom)
Hello and welcome to Cupcake Addiction's Panda Cakepop Tutorial where I'll be showing you
how to make this gorgeous, little, really easy, Panda cakepop. We've also got a Panda
cupcake tutorial on our channel so you can check that one out if you love Pandas.
For today's tutorial, the tools and equipment that we will be using today:
I'm resting my panda in a polystyrene block. I have just a regular zip lock bag.
A pair of scissors. I've got a cakepop ball. Now if you don't
have a great recipe for getting your cakepop balls to this stage, ready to dip and decorate,
we do have one on our channel and I will leave a link to it in the description box below.
I have pre-refrigerated that so that's really nice and firm. That's been in the fridge for
about
minutes until it's quite firm to touch.
I've got 2 lollipop sticks. I've got some desiccated coconut. So it's
a fine sort of sprinkle coconut. If you don't like coconut, you could also use a white sanding
sugar or just regular white sprinkles or nonpareils. We've got some melted white chocolate or white
candy melts. Some melted dark chocolate.
I've got a few quite large chocolate chips. Now in the US, these are called Nestle Morsels.
What you want is a chocolate chip that's the largest ones you can buy.
I've also got just a butter knife. So let's get started.
The first thing that we we're going to do is we're going to take our lollipop stick
and just dip it a little way, about a centimeter or so into that melted white chocolate. Taking
your cakepop ball, there will be slightly flat bottom on one side. We just want to pop
that lollipop stick into the bottom about halfway to
of the way up that cake ball.
We're going to let that sit to the side until that chocolate seal sets.
Now I know my ball is really nice and cold because it's been in the fridge. So that's
going to set just sitting at room temperature as it touches the coolness of the cakepop
ball but you can also put that in the fridge if you're in a particularly warm environment.
While we're waiting for that to set, we're just going to prepare some of our little bits
for our Panda. So we're going to have 2 ears, we're going to have our
to have our nose. For the nose, you just want to take
chocolate chips and just cut it in half. Beautiful. You could eat ВЅ of that because you only
need ВЅ to make this cute little Panda. For the eyes, we're going to complete those
once they're actually on the pop. And that's just so that we don't make too much of a mess
with them. So what you want to do here is you want to
take your cakepop. I'm happy that thats set enough, but you really do want a nice, firm
seal there. So taking your melted chocolate, dip your cakepop ball in. Just give it a little
turn so that that white chocolate meets up with that lovely chocolate seal and just give
it a few taps just to get any of that excess chocolate off. Now don't be too concerned
about neatness here because he is going to get a nice coating of that coconut.
You want to work quite quickly here. You're going to take
put them into each side quite spaced apart - you don't want them too close together.
And then you're going to take his 2 eyes and push them in. You really want to try and push
them into that melted white chocolate so they sink in a little.
And then you want to take your half choc chip and you want it to be flat side up with the
rounded side down facing you. Pop that on for the nose. Still working quickly, as he'll
be starting to set, take your desiccated coconut and just going to give him a nice coating
of fur. As I said, you do want to work quite quickly here. If you do find that he starts
to dry, you can just sweep on a little bit more of that melted white chocolate using
a toothpick or something like that in any places that you find your desiccated coconut
is not quite sticky. You can also just take your fingers and just pat it around. So wait
until you've got a nice coating of the coconut on there. And as you pat it around, you'll
actually stick it to that white chocolate. Alright, so just give him just a little tap
off and just wipe any spare coconut away from his eyes and ears. And you do just want to
make sure your coconut's not too thick down here from the mouth because that's where we're
going to be piping a little bit of our detail work.
Just sweeping some of that messy coconut off to the side. I do recommend doing this over
a baking tray or something, because it can get quite messy.
So now that we've got our eyes on. You want to take a little bit of that white chocolate
- and I'd like to use another lollipop stick to do this because it's got sort of a bit
of an eye shape on end of it. And you want to put the whites of the eyes sort of up the
top. So you kind of want his eyeballs to be up here so that he's got the big blacks of
his eyes coming down underneath and on a little bit of an angle. So I'm going to pop my whites
of the eyes just here and just here. Lovely. We can let those ones dry for a little bit.
Now you just want to take your zip lock bag and just pop in a little bit of that melted
chocolate. And you really don't need much of the melted chocolate. It's just to do some
fine detail work. You can see there I just popped just a really little bit in and just
push it all the way down to the corner of the bag. We're going to cut out really nice,
fine, piping tip off at the end of that. So just a really tiny little corner, so you fashion
yourself a bit of a fine piping tip. And we're just going to draw the mouth, just a little
J on one direction and down in the other direction. And finally to finish him off, we just want
his little eyeballs -- 1 eyeball and the other eyeball.
So there you've got your gorgeous and really really easy little panda cakepop. I'm sure
you'll agree, he was incredibly easy to make and I think he's just adorable.
Thanks very much for watching.

minutes
and I think it'd never long enough to make you guys dinner for the full to the
met
and then it should look like this: then they're going to pour it into an eight
by eight pan
and make sure its creator cooking spray and then it's going to spread it out
using a spatula
and then going to bake this at
for about
minutes
and here's what it looks like so I know that my
a cake little pink a key and flat but that's okay cuz I did there come let up
anyways
that is your fingers in crime blotter any way you can and I feel like a rebel
doing this could
