Hannah you're sporting some serious sunglasses there. Why thank you.
You're looking very cute but I have a very important question.
What? What do you do with those sunglasses when you
go inside you have to take them off for sporting event or something?

But Hannah they can get scratched that way.
I don't have anything to do.
Wouldn't it be better to have something to keep them in?
Yes. How about a duct tape sunglasses case?
Oooh sounds like fun. I knew she would love it. Hannah is the queen
of duct tape. So Hannah to make these sunglass cases you can see we've used somduct tape
but the main thing is we want to make sure that we don't scratch the lenses
and so what I'm gonna do as an actually gonna build it on some felt
mmm-hmm now what we want to do is we want to take our sunglasses
and we want to measure on felt
we want to make sure that there's about half an inch on either side
of our sunglasses width wise and lengthwise we want to give ourselves
again another half an inch on either side so an inch total.
So right here if I was to measure it looks like these sunglasses are
missed six inches about five-and-a-half
so what I'm gonna do is create a piece that is

right? So what we're gonna do is we're gonna come back and trim but we don't want
to go all the way to the fabric we wanna leave
about a quarter of an inch.
Ok. So I'm just gonna trim on this side like that
and trim on this side like that.
Now it's still sealed shut but I wanna make sure that it stays that way so
what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna take a
piece of duct tape that is exactly 6 and a half inches long or maybe a little bit
longer just give myself a little extra so let's make it
Ok. And I'm actually gonna rip this in half
long ways like this. Okay.
Would you hold on to that piece? And you can rip right along these seams.
Exactly that's what I love about ripping duct tape is as long as you find the seam
you can rip it pretty cleanly and easily. Now what I'm gonna do Hannah is I'm gonna place it
see where that starts the little pockets starts we're gonna put our
edge of tape right there and as you can see
I've left half of the tape sticking up because what we're gonna do is fold it over
and really seal in
that edge. So see how that sealed like that? So your sunglass can't ever
fall out. Exactly we're giving it an extra double seal.
Now I've already got that done for us so I'm just gonna pull this over for us
and we're just gonna trim these little edges off.

I should show you this. I also trimmed
these edges here just with a little snip
and a little snip.
Now we want to make sure that they stay closed right? So what I love to use is
sticky back velcro. Have you ever used that sticky back velcro?
Okay so velcro comes with sticky backs. Now whenever you buy velcro make sure
that you get both sides. There's a
fuzzy side an a loop side. If you get just the fuzzy side
or just the loop side you're not gonna be able to make it stick.
You need one of each. So this kind of velcro actually comes with
adhesive on the back like a sticker. So peal that off Hannah
and I'll peal this one. So all we have to do
is place our velcro I'm gonna put one piece right here.
And it doesn't matter which one goes where right? Exactly.
Now for perfect placement if you wanted to what you would do is actually put
you're sticky your loop side right on there so that is was stuck side to side and then fold it
over. Exactly but what you did is perfectly fine because it's a nice big piece
and that gives you your sunglasses case.
Now should we check it make sure it fits your sunglasses? Yes.

other neckties that they don't wear anymore
by all means recycling necktie if you can't and thrift store

supply you will need is a piece of velcro for

a duct tape sunglass case to get started what you need is one or more rows of
colored or printed duct tape
I'm going to be using electric blue and cotton candy going to need a pair of

for a craft knife as well as both and loop fasteners
the first step is to determine the length of the sunglasses or reading
glasses that you are making the case for
then cut out several steps and duct tape that are two inches longer than the
length of your glasses
sick the first two strips together covering any sticky size
and then continue to overlap strip to tape until a duct tape she just made
