    Hello and welcome to Cupcake Addiction's Rapunzel Tower Party Treat Tutorial where I'll be showing
    you how to make this great Rapunzel tower party treat.
    I first saw this idea over at Bird on a Cake which is a great cake decorating [blog] that
    I suggest you all visit. I will leave a link to them in the description box below. And
    she actually makes this as a cupcake. So some of you would know that you can bake cupcake
    batter in ice cream cones. They are perfectly up and safe and your cupcakes come out looking
    absolutely gorgeous. I thought I'd put my own twist on them and I'm just going to make
    them a great little party treat. Tools and equipment that we will be using
    today: I'm using a polystyrene block and a skewer.
    Now that's going to be to allow my cones to dry once they've been dipped in chocolate.
    You don't have to have this but otherwise you are going to spend quite a bit of time
    holding cones and waiting for chocolate to dry.
    I've got a bit of sticky tape. I've got a pair of scissors.
    3 zip lock bags. I've got the skewer there. That's just my
    skewer -- obviously, I've got one there as well -- for drying the ice cream cone.
    I've got 2 spoons. I've got a little bit of white chocolate that
    I've tinted pink. Otherwise, you can use pink candy melts.
    I've got 2 ice cream cones. Now I've picked mine so that they're roughly the same size.
    They don't have to be exact but roughly is good. And you want one flat bottom, one that's
    going to stand alone, and one nice, tall, princess tower [tarot] looking cone.
    I've got a little bit of melted yellow candy melts or melted yellow chocolate.
    I've got some M&Ms. That's my chosen treat for inside these great treat containers.
    I've got some of our perfectly pipeable buttercream frosting and we do have a great recipe and
    tutorial for that on our channel My Cupcake Addiction so you can have a look at the description
    box below for the links to that one. I've tinted some of mine green and some of it pink.
    That's just going to do our vine detail. Now we're going to get started on the first
    part and probably the messiest part of this tutorial. This is going to be dipping our
    cone. So I found it easiest... Look, it's really hard to get a super super deep container
    that that entire cone is going to fit in. So I've found it easiest to dip the bottom
    half first. Give it a little turn around so that you coat it. Pull it out. You hear a
    bit of a [suction]. Give it a little tap. And you'll see there, it hasn't really gone
    too far inside the cone because, I guess, the [suction's] kind of worked its magic there.
    And then dip the other half. Now take one of your spoons and just spoon
    it up. I've got quite a nice fluid consistency to my chocolate or my candy melts. And I've
    added a little bit of Copha which is a vegetable shortening here in Australia just to make
    sure that I've got the consistency that I want. Copha, also known as Crisco or shortening.
    It just helps to thin out your candy melts or your chocolate and make them, if they're
    a bit too thick and a bit too chunky it just makes them a little bit more fluid.
    Now I like to let it drip off this way. This is just so that if you do end up with any
    drips, they're at least going in the right direction. They don't look like they're falling
    on top of the cone. They're actually falling off the bottom. So give it quite a few hard
    taps and just get as much of that excess chocolate off and distribute it as you can.
    It's a lovely nice finish that I've done there. And now we're going to take that skewer, slide
    it up to the tip of the cone and place that into out polystyrene block to completely dry.
    A little bit of a tidy up and then we'll back for more decorating.
    Okay, so this one here is still drying. We've had a bit of a tidy up. And I'm going to be
    using this one that I did earlier. They do take about probably
    minutes to dry because
    the cone is not cold so they do take a bit longer to dry than, say, a cakepop.
    So we're going to keep on decorating. [I'm going] to take my M&Ms which is my choice
    of treat. And obviously, you can do whatever treat you like. And I'm just going to fill
    that cone. Now, so that the M&Ms don't go flying around
    in between the 2 cones if they get shaken, I'm going to give them a little bit of a chocolate
    seal. So I'm just going to take some of that pink chocolate and just pour it over. This
    is just going to create almost like a plug to keep all the M&Ms down the bottom half
    of that cone. And stop them from rattling around and making too much noise, I guess,
    in the rest of the party treat. Now, you want to take some more of that pink
    chocolate. And I tried dipping it in but I didn't find that I got the best results out
    of that. So I just edge using the spoon. I'm just going to edge all the way around the
    edge of that cone. So I know there's a nice decent amount of pink chocolate. And while
    that's still nice and wet. You can see there. I'm going to sit it on top of the bottom cone.
    Now make sure that it's centered before it starts to set. And if you're happy with the
    centering just lightly run your finger around and wipe off any excess.
    So you should have there... It's a nice... I don't want to tilt it too much. But a nice
    neat seal around your Rapunzel tower party treat.
    So while that's drying, that nice little seal, we can start getting our little different
    piping bags ready. The first one we're going to make out of this
    zip lock bag is going to be a leaf tip. So if you've got a leaf tip, you can certainly
    use that. But for those of us that don't, we're going to reinforce the corner of this
    bag with just some sticky tape. So just over the corner, fold it down. So you've got a
    nice [little] reinforced corner. Turn the bag over. Do it again on the other side. And
    I like to this 3 times. The trick with the leaf tip is that it's actually
    quite a firm tip so you... This is just really giving it a little bit of firmness and a little
    bit of hold so that it's going to pipe it out in a nice little leaf kind of a look.
    Now once you've got your reinforced tip, take your scissors, cut across like that. You want
    quite nice little corner taken off there. And then, you're going to cut a nick so in
    like a little V, and in. Alright. So your tip should now look like that, the tip of
    your zip lock bag. Now, we're going to take some of the green
    buttercream frosting and we'll spoon that into the bag in preparation for piping our
    vines. Zip that bag up and just let any air out of
    it. Force that frosting down that nice little corner.
    And we'll get our next bag ready. Take some of that pink frosting. You don't
    need very much pink frosting. It's really only to do our tiny pink flowers. Pop it into
    the second zip lock bag. Seal it up. Let the air out. Finish off the seal. And we're just
    going to take just a really really tiny corner off this zip lock bag. I'm not going to bother
    reinforcing this one. But I do want quite good quality zip lock bags. So if you're finding
    that your bags are splitting, pop a little bit of that sticky tape around the ends to
    reinforce and I would suggest not [scrimping] too much on the zip lock bags if you're going
    to be using for cake decorating. The third one's going to be for our yellow
    chocolate and I'm going to leave that until we're ready.
    Now, that's pretty well set. I'm pretty happy with that. So we're going to pipe on some
    of our vines. With this one here, you can see there, as that frosting starts to come
    out, what's it doing is it's leaving a ridge on each side of the frosting.
    So I'm going to show you here how I'm going to pipe it. Attach it to whatever it is you're
    attaching it to, come back and forward, and back and forward. Alright, so you're attaching
    back and forth and it makes us that lovely little leaf shape.
    Even if you just want to just drag it out, still makes an alright leaf. But if you can
    attach, come back over it and then forward again, it just gives you that lovely little
    leaf. So we're going to start at the tip of our
    Rapunzel tower and we're going to go all the way around. One leaf, two, and just keep them
    going down. Finish it off about halfway around the bottom. And you should have a nice little
    vine-covered Rapunzel tower. So I'll turn mine all the way around so you
    can see what I've done with my vine work there. Now it's time to add our little flowers. If
    you want to make little fondant flowers and be a bit extravagant, absolutely go for it
    but just to show you how to do a really really easy flower. I'll show [we get] on the mat.
    And I'm just going to go out, out, out, almost like a little star. See that? So it's just
    pushing out in 5 different directions with that nice little fine tip. And it just makes
    a little star-looking thing but it's quite fat on the edges so it passes for a flower.
    So just scatter some flowers all the way down the vine but you do want to make sure that
    you finish up with a flower here just to neaten off that end. So start at the top, work your
    way down. Alright, so now you've got your vine and your
    flowers. And that Rapunzel tower is almost ready to go. We're going to finish it off
    with just a little bit of yellow. That's going to make the little front window or the front
    door where Rapunzel would hang her little head and let her hair fall down. And it's
    also just going to help cement that edge. So just take your yellow chocolate or your
    yellow candy melt. And I've just chosen yellow because it was just a nice contrasting color.
    Pop them into that last zip lock bag. Push them all the way down to the corner of the
    bag. We're going to zip it up, letting any air out. And I'm just going to snip off. It
    doesn't have to be as fine as the flower corner but certainly not as big as the leaf, just
    about this much of a corner to make another little piping tip.
    And what I'm going to do is I'm actually going to edge all the way around that seam. So it's
    going to cover up any of the seam that you're able to see. It's going to neaten it up and
    it's also going to give us an extra layer of protection to stop those cones from coming
    apart. So I'm just going to touch my bag. Make sure that I'm working with a good pressure
    there. I'm certainly making a mess. I'll touch my bag. And don't worry if it gets
    a little bit away from you. Just keep going all the way around and we'll fix it all up
    shortly. Okay, so if you've got... See here how I've
    got here a few little fat spots, a few little thin spots. Just take your finger, run it
    around and you'll be able to just even up that chocolate line. And it will actually
    end up being really neat. So I'm taking off a little bit of the excess. And in turn, making
    a nice little contrasting color and a really nice, neat seal.
    This is what we've got at this point. Now lastly, we'll just do the little window
    and we'll really going to fashion the window. So have a look at your tower, work out which
    is your front side. For me, I like to make it this side, sort of where this last vine
    is ending the top of the tower. And I'm just going to draw a little, kind of, an arched-shaped
    window with my chocolate. So squeezing at down one side, down the other, across. Once
    again, you can just use your finger here just to push that arch out. Don't put too much
    chocolate if you can avoid. You don't want it to drip down. And then underneath.
    And there you have your absolutely gorgeous Rapunzel tower party treat, sure to be adored

    case of your cake any color you want when you first I always recommend that
    you keep this up until it's very very warm that's going to improve elasticity
    because it's been sitting it's very stiff and crumbly right now this is not
    usable you gotta put it back in the microwave for
    to
    seconds until
    it's nice and warm you wanted to be to feel very warm like you just made it and
    then we're going to need it until stretchy before we even attempt to cover
    it okay so this was in there for 30 seconds very warm start meeting this and
    it at first he seems very small talk March and it's very crumbly to do
    something that's called the tacky method of media on your hands
    this is gonna actually help moisturize the phone as well one hand here
    poll like Kathy this helps reactivate the stretch and it also helps reduce air
    bubbles and it's a lot easier to need and sort of doing this
    like this is a lot of work on your back to this is more a workout for your arms
    counts as your workout for the day as well see how beautiful structure that is
    now you want to do that every time so I wanted that it could appear dry and oily
    and cracked and crumbly is actually just not conditioned this beautiful perfect
    churchy funded ready to go a little powdered sugar down the board here the

    frequently move around as you get stuck to the surface of your table for sure

    sure you don't have any chocolate on your hands
    that will get onto the surface of your phone and you get onto your room all the
    way around that the top first we're going to fluff the dress everywhere

    you'll be able to do it one hand like this go a lot faster just going slow for
    the purpose of showing you the technique oh I forgot to mention if your fondant
    is not sticking to your ganache then you can spray it with a little bit of water
    before you add your funded doesn't have any problems so I don't usually worry
    about any of that a lot of people do go around with my sneakers that any good
    fiction get that phone up against the cake I have this special goal that I
    like to use for my six inch rounds otherwise I use a cake pan but this is
    what i do to finish off my kicks finding you can keep use that for later
    chilled you can handle it pretty easily looked it up put a ball down or a small
    object that has a flat surface in a wide base of the small works out perfectly
    good is pretty stable and it's just more than a six-inch you know ok so it works
    out perfectly for this again make sure you don't have any chocolate on your
    hands
    one senator on top once they're inside gonna go around what
    you have any bubbles between the surface of your taking your funded they will
    turn into tumors take care of them now where they will come back to haunt you
    does this happen when people say how do you avoid bubbles
    well it's just inevitable you just gotta take care of him not cry about it
    move on with your life
    chocolate somewhere away from the surface of the
    extender after you
    have probably have a little bit but if you have butter cream touching it that's
    fine you can remix buttercream in to find it but you can't remix chocolate
    to place it on the cake for it I like to use the boards from Cape support

    Welcome to How To Cook That I am Ann Reardon
    and I have a really exciting surprise for you today.
    Not only am going to show you how to make this castle cake.
    But I am also going to show you my new app. That's right I made you an app just for you
    ` What you do is print out your flag and stick
    it somewhere on top of your castle. Open up the surprise cakes app, press here, line up

    you castle. Wow that's so cool. Once it is locked on you can move back and around as
    long as the flag is still in view somewhere on the screen the fireworks show will continue.
    You can even take photos with the birthday girl in the background.
    You guys were asking for cakes that were simple to make but still impressive, so with this
    app you can stick the flag onto just a cupcake and still surprise your friends. Or how about
    a chocolate sydney harbour bridge. I will be adding more animations to the app
    over time, so go to the app store or google play store and get the Surprise cakes app
    while its still at the special launch price. And I'll show you some more footage at the
    end
    Now onto making the castle itself. You will need to bake double batch of the rich chocolate
    cake recipe in four trays. And two quantities of buttercream. Spread the buttercream between
    the layers and stack your cakes. Then you want the trim each side to make the edges
    nice and straight. The cake and frosting recipes and tin sizes and all of those details are
    written up on the website howtocookthat.net, there is a link in the description just below
    the video.
    Next trim off the corners so we have room for our corner towers to sit. Then cover the
    whole thing in a smooth layer of frosting. If you place your cake board onto a plate
    you'll find it makes it easier to turn the cake as you are coating it because you can
    get your fingers underneath to help turn it around. Once you've covered it place the whole
    thing in the fridge for an hour or so to firm up.
    Measure the height of the side of the cake, we want the base of the cones on top of our
    towers to sit about 2 cm above the height of the cake.
    Put your mini ice cream cone onto the chocolate bar and line it up with where you measured
    for the base of the cone to be. Then add a second chocolate bar and trim it to make it
    the right height. We want four towers this height so cut your other bars to match.
    Now warm a saucepan on the stove top and quickly press one end of the chocolate bar onto the
    base of the hot pan to melt a little bit of the chocolate. Then push it onto the other
    bar to join it together. You can use whatever chocolate bars you like
    for this as long as they are firm enough to hold their shape when they are cut. Obviously
    if you choose lumpy bars the towers will look lumpy instead of smooth. But that can be a
    nice customization Then we also want turrets to go on top of the cake so trim the remaining
    chocolate bars to the height you want them, I am making two short ones, two medium ones
    and one taller one to go in the middle.
    Roll out your fondant fairly thinly, if it is sticking to the rolling pin put some spray
    oil onto the rolling pin and rub it on and roll it again. Trim the fondant to match the
    height of your chocolate bar. Then wrap it up just like you are making a sausage roll.
    Before it rolls all the way around trim the excess fondant off and then roll it up and
    gently push down to seal the ends together.
    Now find something in your kitchen that has a good skinny rectangle shape and use it to
    make an indent for the windows.
    Ice-cream cones are perfect for the conical spires on top of the turrets. But if you leave
    them plain or just put frosting on them they go stale or soggy. To keep them crispy and
    yummy, fill up the cones up with compound chocolate and then immediately tip it out,
    this leaves a nice layer all over the inside. Then dip the end into the chocolate and leave
    it to set on a piece of baking paper, we need
    Compound chocolate is any chocolate or melts that have vegetable oil in them so it sets
    firmly at room temperature without needing to be tempered.
    Once they are set cover the outside of the cone in chocolate and leave them again to
    set.
    Once they are dry take some edible purple luster dust and a dry paint brush and dust
    it all over the cones to make them shine. Now roll out some dark coloured fondant and
    trim it to the size of your windows, you will need
    of these little rectangles. Then dust
    those with the same purple luster that you used on the cones.
    Brush a tiny bit of water into the window cavity and add the dark fondant and gently
    push it into place.
    To make the flag take one of the cones and using a serrated knife cut the very end of
    it off it and using the tip of the knife make sure there is a hole through the chocolate
    and check your lolli pop stick fits. Print out your flag, cut it out, fold it in half
    then open it up and add some glue then glue it onto the stick. You can colour your flag
    in and add whatever word you like in the middle, just make sure your colouring is not too dark
    or it will make it hard for the app to recognize, so it is probably best just to use pencils.
    Place the flag into the top.
    To make your castle door roll out some brown fondant, use your ruler to cut straight sides
    then about
    of the way up mark each side. Find the middle at the top and mark that then
    using your pizza cutter curve around to join the two marks that you just made. Then push
    down in the centre to make it two doors. Then use your ruler and a knife to gently indent
    straight lines your not trying to cut it through just make an indent to make it look like planks
    of wood. Now take you knife and gently draw a shape
    for a knot in the wood and then run a long slightly curved line around the knot and up
    to the end, then make more lines just following the shape of the first one you did and you
    have a wood grain pattern on your door. Now take something small and round and make
    indents to look like nail holes the at the top and bottom of each plank of wood.
    To make the handles of our door we are going to roll out some black fondant, use a drinking
    straw to cut out two circles. Then roll a thin snake, wrap it around the end of the
    straw and slide it off, you'll need two of those. Then brush them with silver luster.
    Place the circles onto the door just at the right handle height, put a tiny dab of water
    onto each and then add the handles on top and leave that aside to firm up.
    To make flowers for your cake you can use a flower plunger cutter like this one. All
    you do is press the cutter into the fondant and then push on the plunger to get it out
    of the cutter, this is nice and quick if you have a lot of flowers to make it is worth
    while investing in. Then you can just roll a tiny ball of a contrasting colour and place
    it in the middle of each one. If you don't have a cutter or you only want a few flowers
    you can cut 5 circles using a drinking straw, place them together in a flower shape and
    then add the other colour to the middle. That look just as good it just takes a bit longer
    Now for a few leaves cut out a leaf shape from the green fondant place an indent down
    the middle and a few little indents along one side.
    Measure the top of your cake and roll out some pink fondant to be slightly bigger than
    the cake. Put it on top and smooth the edges over the corners. Now measure the front of
    the castle. You want the fondant to over lap into the middle of the corner sections and
    you also want it to be slightly taller at the top.
    Cut the fondant to the right size and then using a small square cutter cut pieces out
    of the top, I'm using a ruler to me straight going along so it's not going up and down.
    And you can make your own cutters, see the twitter dessert video for instructions on
    how to do that. Slide something flexible but firm under your baking paper and use it to
    help you place the fondant onto the side of your cake smoothly. Then carefully remove
    your baking paper and wrap the fondant around on the corners of the cake. It does not matter
    if they do not join because our towers are going to cover that up anyway. To support
    the top of the walls while they are setting and keep them nice and straight wrap some
    baking paper around some cardboard and support it in place using some toothpicks.
    Once you've added all of your walls put a small amount of water onto the corners and
    add your corner towers. Gently put the door into place and make two more indents for windows
    on the front and side and the back walls then add the darker fondant just like we did on
    the towers to make the windows stand out.
    Add some of your cake off cuts around the tower and spread some frosting onto the board
    and over that cake that you've just added. Then you can roll out some green fondant and
    place it over the top, tucking it around the cake bits that you added on.
    Now take some grey fondant and add a pathway coming out from the front door. If you want
    it to look like stones just roll some balls of fondant and squash them onto the path.
    Then trim off the excess path wrapping it around under the board. Add a few more fondant
    rocks around the grass and on the edge of the path, then add your flowers and leaves
    to make it look pretty. Remove your toothpicks and cardboard supports
    from the top of the cake.
    Add the cones to the top of each tower and the turrets. Then add the turrets onto the
    top pushing them down slightly into the top of the cake. And your cake is ready. Open
    up the surprise cakes app and let the magic begin.

    I want to welcome you to the first video other three part series on how to bake
    a wedding cake this first video today is going to be
    the process a baking the cake and covering it
    in a buttercream the subsequent videos will include how to tear the cake which
    is stacking it
    and the last video will include how to decorate the wedding cake
    so make sure you stay tuned for those coming up in the future
    let's get started so the first thing I'm going to talk to you about
    are the baking pans to maker three-tiered wedding cake
    the big one at the bottom is a 10-inch round
    I'm cake pan and that's going to be our base
    our next a middle-tier is going to be an
    and our top tier is going to be a six inch round cake
    now each of these will need to be bait to time so when we're finished you can
    have
    to
    inches

    inches
    to complete the cake this is called a heating core
    and what this heating core does is you place it in the center
    love each of your pants if you choose to you don't have to use it
    but it kinda speeds up this though it speeds up the baking time
    up the cake any put a little bit of cake in the center as well
    heating core and that leave so that when there's a whole left in the cake
    you still have the cake that pops out from the center the heating core
    I'm not going to be using that but I do wanna tell you about it because it is a
    handy thing to use specially when you're making
    I'm larger wedding cakes now these cake pans have street sides
    which is something that you want to make sure that your cake pans have see don't
    have any angles to your wedding cake
    and he's under each three inches high and the cakes will be baking to be about
    a total up to two inches
    in height so we're going to start the baking process next
    we're going to start out baking r6 inch cake
    for the six inch cake you're going to need to cops
    a batter per layer so in total for the top tier
    you're going to need four cups of batter now I am using a homemade vanilla recipe
    which will put a link in the description box for you
    but you can use any kind of cake that you choose you can also use a box mix
    if you prefer that as well you just need to make sure your measurements are the
    same at
    so I'm just taking some non-stick spray and I'm spraying my parent here
    and I'm also putting a layer of wax paper in the bottom
    that just helps put the cake out a lot easier
    when the cake is finished so then in goes my daughter
    and I'm going to be taking this one
    at to
    degrees Fahrenheit and it will bake for about
    I'm
    minutes and then it should be nice and finished
    something pop it in the oven and then I'll have to repeat the process so I
    want you to make sure
    but you're remembering that you have to do two layers per
    size %uh cake pan our next two layers will be the middle tier
    and it is the 8 NH so again and spraying my pan
    and I'm going to be using per layer three-and-a-half cough
    I love leave cake batter for this layer
    give it another stray so you lied seven cups in total for the middle tier
    and it's going to bake 4 so I'm probably about

    to
    minutes at
    degrees Fahrenheit
    so in a pop that in spread this around
    first and then pop it into the open and then
    we will be working on our largest here next
    now we're onto our largest here which will be the bottom in it is the
    per
    inch layer we're going to be using six cops
    a batter so in total we're going to be using

    cups a batter altogether
    for both the volunteers so I'm putting this
    the wax paper and again at the bottom you can use parchment paper if you
    prefer
    and is putting this in now this one being that it's the largest it's
    obviously going to bake for a longer time
    it's still going to be baking at 350 degrees
    and it's going to bake for about
    to
    minutes
    and you just wanna watch it to make sure that it's completely finished in the
    center in springs back to your touch
    so many pop that an and all the dock with all love the cupcakes
    so all six love the cakes have bakes a nice in golden brown
    but if you notice when you been baking Katie might find there's a slight dome
    so what we're going to do next is we're going to level each of them
    of because we can't we will need to have our wedding cakes be completely flat

    and what I'm using is a large Ateco cake knife and it's just got a serrated blade
    if you don't have one of these you can just use a regular kitchen serrated
    knife it works just the same
    so I'm just putting it here and in keeping the blade level
    while turning the cake around here on my turntable
    an unjust making sure that I'm using a sawing motion because I don't want any
    part
    up the cake to tare I want it all to be cut in this level
    area here like that and you can see a slide easily of
    just like that someone to repeat that for all six are the layers
    no other cakes are all levels what I'm going to talk to you about next
    our cake boards no keyboards are essentially just cardboard pieces and a
    covered with foil
    this one is quite thin it's that eight-inch one that I'm going to be
    using for my
    8 inch layer now this one is a six inch one and as you can see it fits perfectly
    on top
    love my six inch cake now this one is a bit larger and it's actually called a
    cake drum
    and it's thicker it's meant to be used on the bottom love
    tier cakes or what not now these two I purchased locally at a cake store
    you can find them at Meijer stores such as Michaels and what not you can even
    buy them
    online Amazon eBay try those out they just called cake ports
    and this one actually make made you just cut it out
    out of cardboard and then you cover it with your own foil so that's what we
    need next to support the cake so now we're going to start
    covering it by in buttercream so now I need to
    attach my cakes to my boards
    so I'm going to do out for glue isn't just going to use a little bit if I same
    to smooth out into the middle there like that and then I just put
    my cake in the centre thereof the port
    just like that now you may notice that the because this one is the bottom one
    it is a little bit bigger band that the other
    8 in the six in sports for this one we want the base to be a little bit bigger
    because when you're transporting the cake
    want somewhere for your fingers to be able to go so that's why this board is
    little bit bigger than the actual cake so this win total
    is at
    inches in diameter so now we're just going to start
    by putting a thin layer a buttercream in between here
    like this and then I'm going to plop
    the top part above my knee
    bottom layer summit other tenants just like that
    want too much from the scraping some of like that
    and then and is going to place the second one
    on top just like that so I'm gonna repeat that process
    for each of the three tears now we have all three of our tears
    the layers are all stacked on top now we're going to do is we're going to do
    our crumb coat
    a crumb coat is the initial layer a buttercream
    that goes on to the cake to catch any up these
    crumbs that come off as your applying the buttercream to the sides
    in total I'm probably going to be using about


    cups a buttercream
    and I will put the link in the description box below
    to my vanilla buttercream recipe that we already have up on the channel
    so I'm just going to coat all three of these cakes in my initial crumb coat
    and then I'll be back to show you the final step to this
    initial video in the series so the last step
    to icing the cake after the crumb coat has caught all other
    up the crumbs from the sides of the cake we're going to use
    more butter cream and just cover it completely
    something to do all three of these a different cakes
    and then will be finished how to bake entice
    a wedding cake so there you go everybody I have finished
    off at the beginning stages I love baking a wedding cake
