FROZEN ELSA CAKE TOPPER - YouTube !!!
English (United Kingdom) English (United Kingdom)
"Elsa Doll cake"
In this video tutorial I am going to show you how to make Elsa from frozen
So I have got some flower and modelling paste, if you use normal fondant to make our Elsa doll it isn't going to be thick enough
I am just going to leave the flower and modelling paste white on this one to start with, you can use coloured if you would prefer
But I am going to leave mine white and then just paint our Elsa cake at a latter stage
and I am just trying to smooth out any cracks i am getting in the modelling paste
So I am going to start by rolling it
We are going to roll this so that it starts to get a little bit thinner
So this bit here is going to be Elsa's dress
I will lay fondant Elsa down at this stage so you can see it better
This will become Frozen Elsa's dress, so taper it in for Elsa's waist
And just keep rolling your Elsa doll like so
We will paint Elsa's dress so that it becomes the right colour
Although as I said, you could dye your fondant / modelling paste in advance if you prefer
So I am making a bit of triangle shape out of this top bit here
and I am just pushing my finger in a bit here where Elsa's bust will be
To create a body shape to our Elsa figure
Now, our fondant Elsa's body is bigger then I want it to be so I am just going to cut it here
So you can see Disneys Elsa's body shape starting to take shape
Now we are going to use some cake decorating edible rainbow dust
I forget the name of this edible colour but I will find out and put it in the description box, but it is the same colour as Elsa's dress
So i am just going to use a thick brush
dabbing the extra off and we are just going to brush it all over Elsa's body
And it is a nice metallic colour that matches Elsa's dress
So we are just going to fully colour our fondant Elsa model apart from the bottom as that bit will not be seen
"Disneys Frozen Elsa Cake tutorial"
So now we have fully painted Elsa's dress
what we are going to do now is let Elsa's body set a little bit, if you find it's not firm
enough to hold it's shape, just run a little stick down the center where you cannot see it
You can use spaghetti or you can use a cocktail stick or a kebab skewer
But obviously if you do use one, make sure people know it's in there and not edible
So i am going to leave Elsa's body to one side now and make a start on Elsa's head
So next we are going to make Frozen Elsa's head, So I have just died some modelling paste in a light flesh colour
because Elsa is only quite pale, so what we are going to do is start with a round ball
and I am just going to push my finger in about half way down
So that we have a little indentation in Elsa's face
Then we are going to push our fingers in to create Elsa two little eye sockets
So our Elsa doll cake might not look exactly the same as the original Elsa from the Frozen film
This is just my version of Elsa
And when you have got Elsa's eye sockets in, just decide
Which way you want Elsa's forehead to be and which side you want Elsa's chin to be
So I am just going to shape our fondant Elsa's head a little bit
So I am just going to bring a bit of a point to the bottom of Elsa's face to create a chin
And just be careful that you don't squash the rest of Elsa's face
So that's our basic fondant head shape for Elsa, we have just pushed in Elsa's eye sockets and created Elsa's chin
Next we will give our Elsa doll a nose and some ears
Again taking a tiny bit of your fondant or modelling paste in the flesh colour
and we are just going to put on Elsa's nose, so I am just trying to see size wise now what looks best
So I will start with a little oval shape
that we are going to stick just a little bit below Elsa's eye sockets
So you are just going to put a little bit of water on there
And then we are just going to stick Elsa nose onto the rest of Elsa's face, sorry if it is difficult to see on the camera
Elsa now has a little button nose, so taking out modelling tool
I am just going to push it on at the top either side
Taking a clean cocktail stick we are going to give Elsa a couple of little nostrils
So just poke
"Elsa and Anna fondant doll cakes figures"
Now we are going to add Elsa's mouth
So i am just going to put a little bit of water on Elsa's head where Elsa's mouth would go
and I am just going to use my flesh colour for Elsa's lips and I will paint it up afterwards
then putting some tiny indentations either side of Elsa's little mouth, only very small
we are going to pinch the smallest bit of fondant and just roll it like that so that it has got a little bit of a point on either end
Again this might be very difficult to see on camera with it being so small
So I am going to put that on the Bottom of our Fondant Elsa's face
just between those two indentations we just put in
So I am going to take another bit for Elsa's top lip, again really small
you can roll it slightly longer then then Elsa's other lip
and you are just going to push it above the one you have just added to Elsa's face
Back to the flesh coloured fondant we are going to roll two small balls which we are going to use for Elsa's ears
So we are just going to stick these on either side of Elsa's head
just two ball shapes to start with
and we are just going to push the bottom of our paint brush into the center
of each of Elsa's ears, to create an ear shape
Now taking a small bit of white gum paste
and we are going to roll that out, you could use a rolling pin but with it being so small I am just going to use my fingers
then taking a small round plunger cutter
we are going to cut out two circles from the white modelling paste
so we have our two small circles and what we are going to do is just cut a tiny bit off the bottom of each circle
then we are going to put them into place on Elsa's face
so we are just going to put a small amount of water into the eye socket
then I am going to put Elsa's eye in the flatter bit at the bottom
so that the little bit where we cut off is just against the cheek
and this can be a little bit fiddly to push into place
So we have our fondant Elsa cake's eyes on, now we are going to paint on them
So I have got a bit of pink rainbow dust on my brush and I am just going to really gently
put a little bit on each of Elsa's cheeks just using a dry brush
Just to give our frozen elsa doll cake a bit of colour
So what I am going to do now is find a really thin brush
and we are going to start with a sky blue sugarflair colour
just using the little bit that is in the lid
and we are going to paint the center of Elsa's eyes in
"disney frozen cake"
Once you have painted in the sky blue sugarflair, take a black sugarflair
we are going to start in the far corner and just paint along the bottom
of the eye lid, turning Elsa's head so that I can paint on the top too
Starting from the center and painting round Elsa's eye
And paint it a little bit thicker at the edge Where Elsa's eye lashes would be
Now taking a lavender sugarflair colour we are just going to paint Elsa's make up just a little bit above her eye
if you want to wait until your black has dried first you can do
So just above the black we are going to paint on a little bit of purple
Repeat the same for Elsa's other eye
If you want to make your fondant Elsa's eyes more detailed you can do, so taking a slightly darker blue then before
and just paint a slight line around the edge of the blue on your Elsa figures eyes
"gum paste elsa tutorial"
If you are not very confident with painting I would maybe leave this bit off
So now taking another sugarflair colour, this time a red one
then I am going to put onto Elsa's lips
and just paint over the little fondant lips we put on earlier
So I have got a bit of dark brown sugarflair paint on my brush now and we are just going to paint on Elsa's eyebrows
just following the top of Elsa's eye socket
"Frozen birthday cake party"
So now taking some black fondant I have rolled two tiny balls for
which we will put into the center of Elsa's eyes
so I am going to squash that onto my finger and just gently pop that
into the center of Elsa's eye if you can get it to stick
and I am just going to push that in place with my modelling tool
again, taking the second black ball, if you can get it to stick
and place that into the center of Elsa's eye
Now using some white fondant I have just rolled two really tiny balls
which we will use to add little highlights into Elsa's eyes
So I am going to put a little bit of water into the corner of those black bits of fondant we just added
and the tricky bit is just picking it up
and we are just going to pop the highlight into the corner of each of Elsa's eyes
"How to make a Frozen cake"
taking our modelling paste / gum paste
and we are going to make Elsa's arms, we only need a thin bit
and we are going to roll it into a long sausage shape
and we will put that on for Elsa's arms, so you need to cut it to the right length
and we are going to cut it so that it comes to the top of Elsa's body
for the end of Elsa's arm where the sleeve is going to be we are just going to bring it to a bit of a point like that
"frozen cake tutorial Elsa"
so cut Elsa's arm off there
and then we are going to put an elbow into Elsa's arm just by rolling it slightly like so
and we are going to stick that arm onto the side of Elsa's body
I am just using a bit of water but you can use edible glue if you would prefer
"how to make an elsa cake topper"
So I am going to push that onto the side
and I am just going to bring Elsa's arm forward a bit
and I am going to have her hands so that they are resting in front of her
and then repeat the same process for Elsa's other arm
so taking more of the flesh colour modelling paste, we are just going to pinch a small amount
which we are going to use for Elsa's hand, so we are just going to squash it down
thin out Elsa's hand a little bit so that it becomes a bit of an oval shape
and I am just going to create a little indentation with a cocktail stick to create a thumb
and fingers, so we are going to keep it a fairly basic looking hand
I am going to put a little bit of water onto the hand and I am just going to place it underneath one of the arms
and do exactly the same for Elsa's other hand
So for extra support on our Elsa figure we are going to inset a cocktail stick into the body
so that it's long enough to go into Elsa's neck and head
otherwise Elsa's neck will not be strong enough to support Elsa's head
so I am going to start with a small amount of my flesh coloured fondant or modelling paste
which will go across the top of Elsa's body, so what I am going to do is pinch a little neck shape into the top of it
so we will pinch that in there like that, keeping it basic shape wise
checking the width against Elsa's body, then cutting it off
and then insert that onto the cocktail stick
so it should come to the same width as Elsa's arms
Then putting a bit of water on the top of Elsa's body so that it sticks down
and pushing that back in
So taking some of our white modelling paste
we are just going to roll it out nice and thin
and we are going to create a little strip that goes over the top of Elsa's body / Elsa's dress
if it;'s a bit bulky you could flatten it down a little bit
then to push it into shape we are going to stick it there, sticking it all the way round to the back
so I have just got some edible metallic paint and I am just going to put this
quite watered down, onto Elsa's arms
and on the top of Elsa's dress
So what I am going to do, is just push Elsa's head onto the cocktail stick
we are going to use a bit of water to stick them together, you could also use royal icing or edible glue
and then we are going to let it set, so I am going to leave this overnight now
To let Elsa's head set on our figure body before we add Elsa's hair
I have now got a really pale brown / yellow for Elsa's hair
and I am just taking a small amount and just pinching it to create a little cap that is going to fit onto the back of Elsa's head
So just push the hair cap onto the back of Elsa's head
so that it goes behind Elsa's ears, we are not bothered about the fondant cap coming all the way to the top of Elsa's head
because we are going to add some more pieces to Elsa's head / hair
and we are going to roll several smaller pieces
so that they thin out a bit at each end
And just stick a little bit of water on the top of your Fondant Elsa figures head
where these are going to go, and down the side
and I am going to start it just on the side of Elsa's head and take it round
and we are going to keep doing this all the way around Elsa's head to create her hair
"Frozen cake elsa and anna"
"frozen elsa cake topper"
"frozen elsa cake tutorial"
"frozen elsa cake topper tutorial"
"disney frozen elsa cake topper"
"frozen cake elsa and anna"
"how to make a frozen elsa cake"
so just a smaller piece of fondant now that we are going to put at the front of Elsa's hair
and then Elsa is going to need a plait to add on
So i am now rolling my fondant in Elsa's hair colour
into three hair strips where they are a little bit thinner at one end then the other
we are then going to push them together at the thin end and then we are going to plait Elsa's hair
try and keep them together at the end as best you can
So you take the outside on, over the next one in, the outside one... in...
and keep going like that
and the plait will probably be a little bit bigger then we need it for Elsa's hair so we will
take the bit out of it I like the best
and seen as we don't want Elsa's hair to be too big I will take it from the little end
and I reckon I will probably need about that much
so I am going to cut Elsa's hair of at an angle like that
and that bit will go on the back of our Elsa dolls head and over the figures shoulders
So I have got Elsa's plait and I have put a little bit of water on the end, and we are just going to push it
Under Elsa's neck like so and bring it round Elsa's body
and just pushing it onto the back of Elsa's head
And that's it, that's out fondant elsa doll cake topper finished
So we are going to put our Elsa cake topper on our cake now with her sister anna figure

what size cakes to use to be I wish we had a deal just that
let's get started now depending how thick UK players are
could take between four to five layers cake I'm gonna stay with
cakes
you take a circle cutter you can create a whole
in the middle of the cake three smaller cutting home the centers because
your Barbie the cylinder is gonna go through the cake
in cutting a hole in the center stack three makes even a way for it to go
right through
wanna do. spring go ahead and pipes and placing its
sleeping on the job market it's not have my first layer on my part summit to
convey icing and I'm gonna create male era facing in between my next layer cake
now for the next layer same process just cut a hole in the center
have a great part about saving the center's
is there a great size for using first perhaps see your scraps and go to waste
and the great part about this cake design is even if you're with cake
layers
are cricketer little bit lopsided any and the cake a seventy
beautifully shaped she that down now would be a good time
to go ahead and take your fire the in a cylinder here and see how much you
really have to work less and as you can see I do need another layer cake four
layers just isn't going to cut its self
gonna go ahead take a that flare because we don't need the full
eight-inch from a layered you can save your scrap seen using again and we're
gonna take the
what a 5-inch crowd circle cutter I'm gonna go ahead and use this for our
fifth player
once again at the center of two
snarky is stacked up yes it may look a little bit Creek ever gonna make it
would be too funny
fierce neither can it go ahead spybar bien I'm gonna go ahead start shaving

now you have access to come on to face in the cake
and you have your cake so fail me
can take a scraper what you wanna do is just kinda press the icing to the cake
and it's here it's not so much about taking the AC
half as much as it is about just moving it to the cake and hearing it's
snowmaking is based on a snow on the ticket spatula
and I'm it creates test solutions she's dancing at the bar
stand to start at the base of the cake and just kind of a
society your spatula support your weight
attack gonna do this only running
