Easter Cakepops! Make Easter Chick Cake Pops -- A Cupcake Addiction How To Tutorial
English (United Kingdom) English (United Kingdom) ello and welcome to Cupcake Addiction's Chickenin an Egg Cakepop Tutorial, perfect for Easter or for your farm or barn event. We'll be makingthese gorgeous little chickens or you can also [turn] them into chickens in eggs.Tools and equipment that we will be using today:I have a pair of scissors. I have some lollipop sticks.A cocktail stick or a toothpick. I've got a pre-rolled refrigerated cakepopball. Now, we have a great recipe and tutorial for this cakepop mix and the cakepop recipeson our channel. So I will leave a link to that in the description box below. But I willmention, this has been refrigerated until it is quite firm, ready for us to pop ourlollipop stick into. I've got a zip lock bag.I've got some yellow chocolate or yellow candy melts. I've just used some Wilton coloredgel to color some white chocolate but you can also use candy melts. Some melted white chocolate. Just a teaspoon.I've got a little bit of black food color paste. I am going to use paste for this ratherthan liquid. You can also use as an alternative some melted dark chocolate or an edible marker. It's just going to be to do the little eyes. And I've got 2 different types of sprinkles. Now I'm going to use this little... They're little candy coated chocolate chips that weget here in Australia, just in our local supermarkets. But as you can see, they're like a perfectlittle triangle of orange candy. So if you can't find these where you are, you can justroll a little bit of toffee or fondant to make that nice little cone type shape. AndI'm also going to use some orange star sprinkles. If you can't find stars, you can also usehearts or flowers. And they normally come in packets of multiple colors of pastel-lysort of colored sprinkles. Let's get started. Now firstly, we're going to take that cakepop ball and a little bit of that melted yellowchocolate or candy melts, whichever you're using. Dip your lollipop stick into the candymelts and insert them about halfway into that ball. That one's going to go off into therefrigerator for about lovely chocolate seal has completely set.Great, so our little chocolate seal is beautiful and set and nice and firm so it's time todip our cakepop. I'm just going to take that cakepop. Pop itstraight down into the melted white chocolate or candy melts. And just make sure that thatchocolate that you're dipping into completely covers that lovely set seal. Just tap offany excess. Alright, now while that is still quite wet, that chocolate, before it starts to set, you want to stick on your little details. So we'regoing to use one of those little triangle candy-covered chocolate chips for the nose.I'm going to use and I'm just going to stick them in here sothat they're sticking out kind of like mini chicken wings. And then want to sort of put them on the front a littlebit, facing up, so you can tell they're little feet, not sticking out like little wings.Sort of flashed against. You should have something that looks sortof like this. His feet are a little bit on an odd angle. We might just fix those up a little bit. While it's still wet, you can fix things up by justtaking your cocktail stick and just moving them along. That's a bit better.Alright, now pop that one off to the side to dry.Once, it's completely dry, we can go and add on our other details such as the eyes. AndI'll show you how to do that shortly. But here's one that we've got that is completelydry. So he's been made a little while ago and he's all set.So I'm going to show you how to apply this lovely little chocolate shell or the egg shell. This is an optional extra. Of course, you can stop right there. It's a really reallyeasy little cakepop for Easter. But we like to go a little bit over the top at CupcakeAddiction's, so we'll take some of that white chocolate. Just pour it into the zip lockbag or you can spoon it in using that spoon. Make sure that you seal the zip lock bag andlet all of the air out of it. And we're just going to cut a little corner. Fashion thatinto a little bit of a makeshift piping bag. I'm going to start with the shell on the bottomof our lovely little chicklet. And basically, I'm just going to use the zip lock bag andmake like a cracked shell shape, sort of like a big star, I guess. Once you've got thatlovely star shape, just fill it in. Do try and work quite quickly here becauseyou don't want it to start drying. If you want to see more great Easter stuff,as well as plenty of other really great tutorials, make sure that you do head over to our channel,My Cupcake Addiction, and have a look at what else we've got on offer. Now from here, I want to take my finger and just smooth it out because egg shells aren'treally textured. Just smooth it out. So you've already sort of made the shape of your shell, now we're just making that shell nice and smooth.Alright, so the little bottom of the shell is good to go. Now we're just going to dothe top part. You can probably guess what we're going to do here.Just taking that zip lock bag again. And we're just going to make the nice little crack shape.Don't go too overboard on how thick you do this chocolate, especially on the top. Youdon't want it to drip down and cover his poor little eyes.Once again, we're just going to use our fingers and just smooth it out.So he's got a little bit of cracked shell on top of his head and a little bit of crackedshell underneath. Not to show you how I did those eyes, it isreally simple. But we will just take our other little Easter chicken and our black food coloring. You do want to wait 'til this is completely dry. Take a little bit of that black foodcoloring. And it is as simple as just drawing 2 little dots. As I mentioned, you can alsouse dark chocolate for this and you can also use an edible marker. But I just have blackfood coloring on hand. So there you have your gorgeous little Easteror Barnyard chicken cakepop either with shell or without, depending on how far you wantto take it. As always, thank you so much for watchingthis tutorial. We hope that you've enjoyed watching it as much as we've enjoyed makingit for you.
