How to String a Homemade Guitar | Musical Instruments
English - transcript English - transcript This is part two on how to make a box guitar. It sounds like a scary monster. So, now thatwe've decorated our box - I decorated in my funky town band poster, my favorite poster- we're going to pick out some rubber bands. I like a little bit of a thicker rubber band, but you might want to experiment with different thicknesses and sizes. You can put the rubberbands horizontally or vertically depending on what you're looking for. They might havedifferent sounds, so go ahead and experiment with them. I think your kids will have a lot of fun playingthis guitar. It's super fun. It's playful. Kids love guitar. You can decorate your boxwith glitter, or a funky poster, maybe some cool newspaper, wrapping paper. Use all theoptions that you want. Now that I've put the rubber bands on already, that sounds good, right? That sounds good, but I think that what we're going to do iswe're going to take two pencils and use them to do bridges of the guitar. That's goingto give it a little bit more of a tighter sound. So, I'm going to stick the pencil onone side, just like that. Then I'm going to put it on the other side. If the strings getcaught just make sure that they aren't twisted. Now we've got our funky town guitar. I thinkI want to jam out some songs on this one. What do you think, Johnny? You want to comeup and play some songs? Oh, you got a guitar there. It sounds prettygood. Right. I've been working on the railroad allthe live long day.
